All Details of The famous Eiffel tower in Paris , France

Summary: The Eiffel Tower is one of the landmarks of Paris that earned Paris its status as one of the best tourist destinations.

The Eiffel Tower is an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars next to the Seine River in Paris. It is the tallest structure in Paris and one of the most acclaimed symbols in the world. The Eiffel Tower is named after its designer, the engineer Gustave Eiffel, and is a leading tourist destination.

The tower is 986 feet tall, which is approximately 75 stories tall. Including the antenna, the height of the Eiffel Tower is 1,058 feet, or 81 stories. During its construction in 1889, the tower was the tallest structure in the world, a title it registered until 1930, when the Chrysler Building in New York City was completed. It is also popular with architects for being one of the few tall structures in the world that is perfectly vertical.

Maintenance of the tower includes the application of 50 tons of three graduated shades of paint every seven years to protect it from oxidation. Occasionally, the color of the paint is changed. Currently, the tower is painted in brown. On the first floor, there are the corresponding consoles that house a survey on the color to use for a future painting session.

The structure was built between 1887 and 1889 as an entrance arch to the Exposition Universelle, a world fair that marks the celebration of the centenary of the French Revolution. The tower was inaugurated on March 31, 1889 and was inaugurated on May 6.

Originally, the Eiffel Tower had permission for the tower to stand for 20 years, rather than to recoup its expenses, but as it later proved valuable for communication purposes, it was recognized that it would remain after the expiration of the permit. The military used it to send Parisian taxis to the front of the Marne and consequently it became a picture of the victory of that battle. It was also used to trap the infamous "Mata Hari", and after this, its demolition became unthinkable for the French population.

The tower has two restaurants: Altitude 95, on the first floor, and Jules Verne, a high-priced gourmet restaurant on the second floor, with a private elevator.

Images of the tower have been in the public domain for a long time. However, in 2003 SNTE installed a new lighting screen on the tower. The effect was to copyright any night image of the tower. Therefore, it was no longer legal to publish simultaneous photographs of the tower at night without permission. In a contemporary decision, the Court of Cassation ruled that copyright in images that include a copyrighted building could not be claimed if the photograph surrounds or includes a larger area. This seems to indicate that the SNTE cannot claim copyright on the photographs of Paris that incorporate the illuminated tower.

Today it is widely regarded as one of the world's most striking structural works of art.
