Amanda Gorman, a young woman who turns heads at Biden's inauguration, who is she?
The young poet, Amanda Gorman, appeared during the inauguration of US President Joe Biden, and recited a poem she wrote calling on her citizens to unite, capturing her words and her performance on the Capitol drawers and viewers behind the screens.
Gorman, 22, made history as a yellow poetess attending the inauguration of an American president.
Gorman, from Los Angeles, wore a smaller robe and hair encircled by a red crown. During the ceremony, she recited a poem entitled "The Hill We Climb" (The Hill We Climb), referring to "Capitol Hill," the headquarters of Congress that was stormed by a crowd of supporters of former President Donald Trump On January 6.
On a day for the history books, @TheAmandaGorman delivered a poem that more than met the moment. Young people like her are proof that "there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it; if only we're brave enough to be it." pic.twitter.com/mbywtvjtEH

In her interview with "Vogue", Gorman revealed that her choice of coat was a reference to First Lady Jill Biden, who asked her to participate in the inauguration. As for the jewelry she wore, they were gifts from independent designers, provided by Oprah Winfrey.
Winfrey gifted a ring in the shape of a bird in a cage to Gorman from New York-based brand "Rare Origin", in honor of African American poet Maya Angelou, as well as a pair of gold earrings by Greek designer Nikos Collis.
"Fashion carries a lot of meaning for me, and it is my way to delve into the history that preceded me, and all the people who support me," Gorman told Vogue.
However, the British newspaper "The Independent" reported that Amanda Gorman's books have become a bestseller on Amazon.
“My books are first and second on Amazon after one day,” Gorman wrote on Twitter. Thank you very much to everyone for their support and my words.
Gorman joins the ranks of well-known American poets such as Robert Frost and Maya Angelou, who composed the inaugural poem during the era of former President Bill Clinton.
