The account of the Oman Ports Operation and Management Company stated, through a tweet on the Twitter site, that the company received in Khasab Port, the largest wooden ship in the world, called Obaid.
The "Ubaid" ship was classified, in the Guinness Book of Records, as the largest Arab wooden ship in the world, with a length of 91.47 meters in length (equivalent to the length of an American football field) and 20.41 meters in width (equal to half the length of a stadium of the same type), according to the encyclopedia.
According to the Al-Sumaria newspaper, the ship was called "Ubaid". Named after Obaid Jumaa bin Majid Al Fash, an Emirati sailor and shipbuilder.
