Job Purpose:

The Value Stream Manager (VSM) leads and integrates the efforts of the end to end supply operating teams across multiple shifts to ensure that quality products are manufactured safely and in hygienic conditions, cost effectively to meet customers service requirements on an ongoing basis.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Maximize individuals and team performance


Provide leadership and motivation by creating an engaging, collaborative and safe working environment for his VS’s associates, as well as the wider supply associates which support the factory e.g. Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Q&FS , R&D , etc.,...

Develop his VS team’s skills to ensure we have the right set-up in terms of competencies, mind sets and behaviors to deliver a world-class quality and efficiency.

Focus on developing both Functional Leadership capabilities and MLC for all his VS associates.

Drive people engagement with a strong focus on follow-through.

Develop high quality PDP’s for all direct reports and hold regular reviews measuring performance against the set objectives and development plans.


Performance Management:


for efficient and effective management of his/her VS within cost and quality goals so that the desired customer demand can be met within targeted service levels, lead times and responsiveness.

for the execution of the supply strategy across his/her value stream (VS).

will ensure the delivery of the operating plan and process improvements in managing relevant KPI’s in his/her value stream area in support of delivering the factory FAB, Operating plan and Battle plan targets.

To manage and measure periodic performance of his/her VS in order to deliver the agreed KPI’s in terms of Manufacturing costs, quality, customer service, safety and case fill

To ensure compliance with company procedures and policies in his/her VS.

To determine the VS operating plan in conjunction with P&O, S&F and other supply 

To create a sustainable culture of Operational Excellence, Collaboration and Associate Engagement across his/her VS.

To lead all the VS continuous improvement programs, promote LEAN mindset, sponsor all MSE programs deployment, SIG initiatives and cost structure improvement.

To ensure proper control and follow up for the idea generation program to emphasis the continuous improvement mindset.

Operational Excellence:


To create a sustainable culture of Operational Excellence, Collaboration and Associate Engagement across his/her VS.

To lead all the VS continuous improvement programs, promote LEAN mindset, sponsor all MSE programs deployment, SIG initiatives and cost structure improvement.

To ensure proper control and follow up for the idea generation program to emphasis the continuous improvement mindset.

Quality Management Process Deployment:


Responsible for achieving agreed performance criteria and improve the VS costs related to quality, use of lines, production goals, SAFETY and hygiene (GMP/GHP).

Ensure delivery of our products with the required quality.

Ensure that the team involved is safe during the operation process.


Factory Management Team Member:


Member of the Factory Management Team and as such has both leadership and functional responsibilities which fall outside the scope of his VS – E.g. Factory associate engagement and collaboration, FMOS & Management Process effectiveness, QMP adherence, Factory Battle plan and FAB formulation.

Support the decision in the FMT by delivering the proper input from an operational perspective

Support OCT / MEA / GEM Supply Strategy.

Demonstrate HPC Behavior as a Key member of the Factory Management Team


Site Custodian:


From time to time the Value Stream Manager will act as the sole authority over all area / factory assets and activities during periods when the Plant Manager is absent. 


Qualifications and Experience:


Education:


Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferably in Industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering 


Experience:


Minimum15 years of experience within Manufacturing and Production, preferably FMCG industry.

Solid understanding of LEAN manufacturing and technical skills.

Proven people management track record

Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization
