On ABC, “James Span” ... the weather announcer receives the news of a hurricane striking his home.
While talking about the strong wave of hurricanes that hit the US state of Alabama, the chief meteorologist at ABC, James Span, was surprised that the hurricane had reached his home and caused damage to it.
The presenter continued to provide information about the disastrous weather, then took a short break to check on his family.
"What I do is text my wife to make sure she is in the shelter," Span told viewers. "So again, if we can go back to that camera," he added.
After about a quarter of an hour, Span appeared on the air, explaining that the tornadoes had struck his home and severely damaged it.
