A vaccine designed for animals to protect them from the Corona virus
The Federal Center for Animal Health Protection stated that a vaccine was manufactured in Russia for animals to protect them against the emerging corona virus, and it is considered the first vaccine intended for animals.
Konstantin Savenkov, deputy head of the Federal Commission for Veterinary and Botanical Control, said that Russia registered the world's first animal vaccine against the emerging corona virus.
Asafenkov stated that the vaccine was designed and registered under the name "Karnivak-Kove", according to what was reported by the Russian media, and it was published by the British newspaper "Daily Mail".
The expert added that clinical tests for this vaccine began in October of last year, with the participation of dogs and cats, white Arctic foxes, mink, ordinary foxes, and other animals.
The results of the vaccine prepared for animals stated that it is safe and has high immune effectiveness, because it showed effectiveness in all animals participating in the study, with the emergence of antibodies to the Corona virus in their bodies.
Savenkov explained that this vaccine is of special importance, because some animals, according to the World Organization for Animal Health, are susceptible to infection with the Coronavirus, and several cases of this type have been recorded in many countries.
