Cryptocurrencies .. Banking expert: They lose money and are not legal
Ahmed Shawky, a banking expert, said that digital currencies are issued from central agencies, noting that cryptocurrencies have no production or issuance party, stressing that there is no guarantor for the cryptocurrencies yet.
"Shawky" added during his telephone interview on the "Extra News" channel, that cryptocurrencies are not traded in the official and regulated markets, and they also have no legal authority.
He pointed out that all coins are covered, whether with gold or the equivalent of precious materials, explaining that the cryptocurrencies do not have a metal cover.
He stressed that cryptocurrencies cause the loss of money, noting that the Central Bank of Egypt has warned against dealing in encrypted digital currencies.
He stressed that cryptocurrencies are illegal, and for this they do not have any legal reference in the event of any problems and losses.
