Holstein Kiel drops Cologne into the house and approaches the Bundesliga
Holstein Kiel is on the verge of qualifying for the German Football League (Bundesliga) championship, after winning a precious 1-0 victory over his host Cologne today, Wednesday, in the first leg of the up and down game.
Kiel is participating in the play-offs after finishing third in the second division standings this season, to strike a date with Colón, who finished the first division in 16th place (third from the bottom).
Simon Lorenz wore the robe of mastery in the match, after he scored Kiel's only goal in the 59th minute.
It is enough for Kiel to equalize with any result in the rematch that will be held at his stadium next Saturday, to climb to the first division for the first time in its history, while Cologne must win 2-0, or by one goal difference, provided he scored at least two goals in the match.
