97th Academy Awards: Shortlists Announced in Ten Categories
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced on Tuesday the shortlists in ten categories for the 97th Academy Awards.
The categories include: Documentary Feature Film, Documentary Short Film, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, Sound, and Visual Effects.
Voting begins on January 8 and concludes on January 12, with final nominations announced on January 17. The Oscars ceremony, hosted by Conan O'Brien, will take place on March 2, 2025, and will be broadcast live on ABC in over 200 countries worldwide.
