Shakira Opens Up: Healing After Heartbreak 💔✨ 💬 “I Haven’t Rebuilt Myself Yet…” Nearly three years after her public breakup with footballer Gerard Piqué, global superstar Shakira is opening up during her Latin American tour. In a recent interview, the Colombian singer admitted that she’s still in the process of healing and hasn’t fully rebuilt herself.

✍️ Writing as a Form of Healing

“The healing process takes many years,” Shakira confessed. “But I’ve taken a huge burden off my shoulders. I heal through writing — that’s what I do. Some may see it as good, others bad, but I’m responsible for myself, my well-being, and for being okay for my children.”

😭 “Do You Still Cry?”

When asked whether she still cries after her viral phrase “women don’t cry anymore”, Shakira smiled and replied: “Only for the right reasons.”

She explained: “In the past, they told us to cry in secret, behind closed doors. Not in front of children. To hide the pain. But now, no one can tell you how to heal or rebuild. We all — women and men — have the right to be honest. That’s the cure. Lying to ourselves or to society? That no longer exists.”

🎨 Turning Pain Into Power

Has she turned pain into power? Shakira says she’s transformed it into creativity.

“You have to channel it,” she said. “All the anger, the pain, everything I felt — I turned it into something productive and creative, so I could start rebuilding myself.”

🧠 The Power of Expressing Emotions

Shakira also highlighted the importance of being honest about how you feel. “We’ve learned to hide our emotions — especially with social media where everyone pretends they’re okay. But acknowledging our weaknesses, our humanity, our tears — that’s what makes us strong.”

💖 Gratitude for Her Fans

“Who among us is immune to heartbreak, disappointments, or hard times?” she asked. “We all face challenges. But my audience has made me feel valued. They’ve shown me that it’s worth fighting through the pain.”
